Between 17 April and 28 April IAM hosted three IPBC events across Asia:
- IPBC Taiwan (17 April);
- IPBC Shenzhen (20 April); and
- IPBC Korea (28 April).
IP leaders from around the world gathered to explore the core themes of IP value creation and corporate IP best practice.
Through packed, fully bilingual sessions the events tackled a range of topics, including:
- outlining international opportunities;
- corporate IP best practice;
- portfolio growth models;
- IP risk management;
- strategic IP management; and
- maximising value through competitive intelligence.
We were delighted to welcome a number of keynote speakers to the events who provided their insight on the IP market and their vision for the coming years. Grant Philpott, the Principal Director for Information and Communications Technology with the European Patent Office, shared his insights at IPBC Korea. Joseph Chang, CEO of FAITH Intellectual Assets Corporation, discussed his vision and experiences with the attendees at IPBC Shenzhen. We also had the pleasure of welcoming Cheng-Wei Liao, the Deputy Director General of the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office, and Pei-Zen Chang, the Executive Vice President of ITRI, who shared the stage at IPBC Taiwan to deliver a talk on creation and IP use by deploying forward-looking IP.
The events were a great success and we are already looking forward to next year’s!
